Next week is going to be big for Android and we expect a number of key announcements to be made by the company at its annual developer conference, Google I/O.
Google has finally been able to get hold of AndroidTV.com domain which does lend belief to the fact that some big news may be coming our way. Although most of what we have heard about the event revolves around Virtual Reality and Android N. Google will be hosting an event on May 20th for developers where the company is expected to explain ways in which they can port Android apps to Android TV in minutes.
Android TV is suffering from lack of apps more than anything else and by making porting easier there will be a ton of apps/games now available for your Smart TV. Essentially Android TV is an additional box for your TV which makes it smart with internet access and support for Android apps.
