With Samsung planning to launch the Galaxy S8 at MWC 2017, there still hasn't been any word from the company on the actual cause of the Note 7 explosions. Now, we are hearing that Samsung is taking the time out of its production schedule for the Galaxy S8 to find the cause.
The Note 7 has been a mystery, with reports of it catching fire starting out in August just a few weeks into the sales of the device. This spiraled into a global recall for which Samsung blamed SDI batteries, and then began the replacement program. Shortly after the replacement units began making their way to customers, another round of fires began to be reported followed by another recall and the Note 7 being shelved.
Since then we haven't heard anything from Samsung on the cause of the fires of replacement units which were supposed to have been fixed.
D.J Koh, Samsung Mobile Chief vowed to customers that they will find the reason at any cost. Now, would this result in the launch of the Galaxy S8 is something we would have to find out.
