Samsung decided that you need a tablet which you can't ever carry. The Galaxy View is supposed to just sit at your desk, your kitchen and is being targeted just for media consumption.
The Galaxy View is a massive tablet in every way, it has a 18.4-inch 1080p display and runs on Samsung's own Exynos 7580 SoC with eight 1.6 GHz A53 Cores. There's 2GB RAM onboard, 32GB expandable storage and a 2.1MP rear camera. Please don't use this to take pictures, although you probably won't be able to.
Built for watching videos, you have 4W stereo speakers here and the whole suite of connectivity options including dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 4.1 LE, GPS with GLONASS support but there's no FM Radio. Galaxy View comes with a 57 mAh battery which is slated to give you 8 hours of video playback.
Coming to its price, the Galaxy View will come in at $599 and will be out November 6th in the US.
