Samsung has launched its latest Galaxy Quantum 2 (SM-A826S) smartphone in partnership with SK Telecom in South Korea. This is the successor Galaxy A Quantum that was launched as the world’s first 5G smartphone last year with a quantum random number generation (QRNG) chipset. It has a 6.7-inch Quad HD+ AMOLED Infinity-O Display with a 120Hz refresh rate and has an In-display fingerprint sensor. It runs on the Snapdragon 855+ processor with 6GB RAM, 128GB UFS 3.0 storage, and works on One UI 3.1 based on Android 11.
It has a triple rear camera setup where a 64MP primary camera along with 12MP ultra-wide camera, 5MP depth sensor, and on the front side has a 10MP punch-hole camera. It is powered by a 4500mAh battery that supports 25W superfast charging.
Galaxy Quantum 2 also has a QRNG (Quantum Random Number Generator) chipset with the world’s smallest size as similar to the predecessor. According to the company, the quantum random number generation chipset helps to use security-critical services such as authentication, finance, and messengers more safely by generating unpredictable and unpatterned pure random numbers.

The Samsung Galaxy Quantum 2 comes in White, Gray, and Light Violet colors and the price is 699,600 won (US$ 622 / Rs. 46,940 approx.) for 6GB RAM with 128GB storage. It will be available from 23rd April in Korea and pre-order already started from SK Telecom. This will be introduced as Galaxy A82 in the global markets soon.
