Samsung has launched the Galaxy Note 7 in India, the new Note features an Iris scanner and is now water-resistant as well.
The Galaxy Note 7 runs on the Exynos 8890 octa-core processor with 4GB RAM, 64GB storage which is expandable with a microSD card slot. In terms of specs, the new Note is similar to the Galaxy S7 edge but has a larger 5.7-inch Quad-HD Super AMOLED display which is pressure sensitive. This display now curves on both sides side the S7 Edge making the phone narrower than the Note 5 for better grip and easier usage in one hand. Both the front and back are covered in Gorilla Glass 5 for added protection.

The display can now recognize 4096 pressure levels up from 2048 on the Note 5, which makes the S-Pen more accurate and for artists it means higher freedom. Just to put it simply, the display on the Note 7 will now be able to judge better when the S-Pen is being pressed harder or lighter. The tip of the SPen has also been made thinner to just 0.7mm for added accuracy.

Samsung is using the excellent 12MP rear camera from the Galaxy S7 which features full-sensor dual-pixel autofocus, f/1.7 aperture lens (still widest on any smartphone) capable of recording 4K videos. You get the same 5MP f/1.7 wide-angle front camera as well. So, you can expect the same level of great photography as the S7 series. Connectivity options include dual-SIM 4G LTE support with VoLTE, WiFi ac, Bluetooth 4.2 LE, NFC and yes there's a USB Type-C port now for data syncing and charging.

There's a new GearVR headset as well which increases the field of view to 101 degrees for a more immersive experience. It uses a modular design where you can use either a USB Type-C connector or a MicroUSB connector to be backwards compatible.
Running all this is a 3500 mAh battery which is non removable but Samsung has added a microSD card slot here which can be used to expand storage up to 256GB. You also get fast wired and wireless charging onboard. Another neat addition is dust and water resistance with an IP68 rating meaning your Note 7 would survive a shower, a swim in a pool or even a rainstorm without any ugly flaps. The Galaxy Note 7 is as clean in design with curves on both the front and back.
