Samsung has launched its latest mid-range M series smartphone the Galaxy M55 5G in India, fulfilling its earlier commitment. The device features a 6.7-inch FHD+ 120Hz AMOLED display, maintaining consistency with its predecessor. However, it ditches the Exynos 1380 found in the M54 in favor of the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC.
It is equipped with up to 12GB of RAM, up to 256GB storage, and is based on Android 14 with One UI 6, Samsung commits to providing four generations of Android updates and five years of security updates for the device. Notably, the Galaxy M55 5G introduces Samsung Knox Vault, a hardware-based security solution previously unseen in the M series.
The phone boasts a 50MP rear camera with 1.5˚ OIS and VDIS, accompanied by an 8MP ultra-wide lens and a 2MP macro lens. Additionally, it incorporates a 50MP front-facing camera. It Features an in-display fingerprint scanner, the Galaxy M55 5G houses a 5000mAh battery with support for 45W fast charging, marking a first for the M series. Notably, the charger is not included in the package.
