Samsung has launched another budget smartphone in its J-Series after the Galaxy J1 4G. The new Galaxy J2 Ace better known as the J2 Prime, has been spotted on an online retailer in India priced at Rs. 8490.
For that, you will get a 5-inch Super AMOLED display running on the MediaTek MT6737T quad-core 64-bit processor clocked at 1.4GHz. There's 1.5GB RAM onboard the J2 Ace with 8GB internal storage which is expandable. There's an 8-megapixel autofocus rear camera here and 5-megapizel front camera for selfies. It boots Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box and you get the S-Bike Mode, ultra data-saving mode all bundled in similar to other J-series smartphones in India. It is a dual-SIM 4G VoLTE capable smartphone as well with a separate microSD card slot. Samsung has packed a 2600 mAh battery which cannot compete with the likes of the 4100 mAh unit on the Redmi 3S/Prime but it would still do for a day's worth of use given the budget hardware and lower-res display.
Although Samsung hasn't officially announced the phone yet, the Galaxy J2 Ace has been rumored to launch in India for some time now. At present, the Galaxy J2 Ace (SM-G532G) is only available from OnlyMobiles for Rs. 8490, but it should be available through offline stores soon.
