Samsung chose to be rather mysterious with the launch of the Galaxy Alpha, especially considering this is a departure for the company from all-plastic smartphones. The Galaxy Alpha comes with mid-range specs, but some flagship features including a heart-rate monitor and finger-print sensor. There's a 4.7-inch HD display to board off powered by a quad-core Exynos chipset running Android 4.4.2 KitKat with 2 GB RAM.
Although Samsung has been mum about the pricing of the Galaxy Alpha, there's a new promo video in store showing how the hip/cool generation finds the Galaxy Alpha endearing. This is the first promo video calling the Galaxy Alpha "Just Alpha". There will possibly be a huge marketing campaign designed around the Alpha brand, but the low-key announcement from Samsung makes us a bit skeptical.
