Update - Samsung Galaxy A53 5G benchmarks have surfaced in Geekbench listing that revealing upcoming Exynos 1200 SoC codenamed S5E8825 with 6GB of RAM and Android 12. It has 2 x prime cores clocked at 2.40 GHz and 6 x power-efficient CPU cores clocked at 2.00 GHz per core with Mali-G68 GPU, as per the listing. It reveals a score of 690 points in the single-core test and 1,846 points in the multicore test.
Earlier - Samsung is working on another mid-range smartphone the Galaxy A53 5G, which will be the successor of the Galaxy A52 smartphone. Now, the first time CAD-based renders of the Galaxy A53 5G have surfaced online by @OnLeaks, which shows a similar flat AMOLED screen as the previous model. The renders also show a thin camera bump with a quad rear camera setup.
The dimension of the Galaxy A53 is 8.14~9.73mm (including the rear camera bump), so it will be slightly thinner than the Galaxy A52. But, the display size is not revealed yet, an early leak revealed a 120Hz refresh rate AMOLED screen, same as the A52 5G / A52s 5G, and should feature an in-display fingerprint scanner.
The design of the phone also looks similar and lacks the 3.5mm audio jack that was present in the A52 series smartphone. The image also shows a flat back panel that doesn’t curve around the edges, and earlier rumors revealed a 64-megapixel main rear camera.
This time Samsung is not expected to release a 4G version of the phone, So the Samsung Galaxy A53 5G is expected to be announced sometime in Q1, 2022. We should know more details and the full specifications of the phone in the coming months.
