Samsung's metal clad upper mid-range series has got a makeover for 2016 both in terms of design and specifications with the new 2016 Galaxy A3, Galaxy A5 and Galaxy A7.
The Galaxy A series paved the way for premium design, back when Samsung was still working with cheap looking plastic builds with faux-metal finishes. The new Galaxy A 2016 series boasts of real metal just like its predecessor although the back may be of a different material, probably glass this time. The design of the new Galaxy A series is reminiscent of the Galaxy S6 with more rounded corners and flatter sides.
If you look at the images above you can get a pretty good idea about the various ports and buttons as well. The volume buttons can be found on the left while the power button is on the right on the Galaxy A3, A5 and Galaxy A7. If you were wondering, Samsung has made slight changes to its current naming convention, meaning the Galaxy A3 has a 4.7-inch display (as opposed to 4.5-inch on the previous-gen), Galaxy A5 5.2-inch and the Galaxy A7 a 5.5-inch display.
Moreover, Samsung has also added a fingerprint sensor embedded within the home button on the Galaxy A5 and Galaxy A7 2016 which are compatible with both MST (Magnetic Secure Transmission) and NFC (Near Field Communication) technologies. But that's not the only advancement here, the cameras on all three have been thoroughly update. The new Galaxy A5 and Galaxy A7 2016 also get Optical Image Stabilization as well as f/1.9 lens for both front and rear cameras for better images in low light. Samsung's Quick Launch makes a return here as well, using which you can launch the camera app by just double press of the home button.
