Xiaomi announced that the Redmi Turbo 4 would be the first smartphone to run on the new MediaTek Dimensity 8400-Ultra SoC. The device has now appeared on Geekbench with the model number 24129RT7CC. The Dimensity 8400-Ultra shares the same specifications as the standard Dimensity 8400 SoC.
It features an octa-core setup with all Arm Cortex-A725 big cores, including one Cortex-A725 clocked at 3.25GHz with 1MB L2 cache and three Cortex-A725 cores running at 3.0GHz. The GPU is a 1.3GHz Arm Mali-G720 MC6.
Geekbench scores for the Redmi Turbo 4 show impressive performance, with 1642 points in single-core and 6056 points in multi-core tests. These scores significantly outperform the Redmi K70E, which is powered by the Dimensity 8300-Ultra, achieving 1242 and 4194 points, respectively.
The listing also confirms 16GB of RAM, Android 15 out of the box, and HyperOS 2. Additionally, the device has received 3C certification in China, revealing support for 90W fast charging. The Redmi Turbo 4 is set to launch in China in early January 2025 and will be rebranded as the POCO X7 Pro for global markets. At the same event, Xiaomi will also unveil the Redmibook 16 (2025).
