Xiaomi has officially confirmed the name of its upcoming smartphone powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 as the Redmi Turbo 3. Wang Teng Thomas, the General Manager of the Redmi Brand, emphasized that this device will stand out as a high-performer, leading to a significant advancement in mid-range performance within the industry. Recent Geekbench listings have unveiled some of its performance metrics.
With the model number 24069RA21C, the device achieved notable scores of 2023 points in Geekbench 6 single-core testing and 5659 points in multi-core testing, surpassing the performance of its predecessor, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. Additionally, it's been disclosed that the phone will boast 16GB of RAM, although a variant with 12GB RAM can also be anticipated.
Thomas further mentioned that the Redmi Turbo 3 demonstrated impressive performance in internal testing, capable of surpassing 1.7 million points on AnTuTu 10, aligning with the performance of the Redmi K70 featuring the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, which scored 1.71 million points. This comes as no surprise given the upgraded CPU, although its GPU remains akin to that of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.
An image shared by Thomas showcased the phone's display with minimal bezels, hinting at an impressive screen-to-body ratio reminiscent of the recently launched Redmi K70E, also known as the POCO X6 Pro in India.
The Redmi Turbo 3 is anticipated to debut in China in mid-April, with plans for a global release under the POCO brand as the POCO F6 is expected sometime in the second quarter of 2024.
