Xiaomi has officially confirmed the launch of its latest smartphones in the Redmi Note 14 Pro series in China on September 26th, following earlier teasers. The company previously announced significant quality upgrades, including enhanced drop resistance and improved waterproofing across the entire device.
Today, Xiaomi confirmed that the Redmi Note 14 Pro series has passed the rigorous TUV SUD IP66/IP68/IP69 certification, as well as the SUD 2-meter, 24-hour waterproof test. For the first time, the company will offer free "water ingress protection" during the initial sale period.
Additionally, the series will feature Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection, which has passed a high-strength 1.8-meter drop test. Buyers will also receive free "broken screen insurance" with the first sale. An earlier teaser revealed the Redmi Note 14 Pro+ will come equipped with a 50MP main camera featuring OIS and an f/1.6 aperture, as well as a 60mm f/2.2 mid-focus lens.
The Redmi Note 14 Pro will be available in four colours: Twilight Purple, Phantom Blue, Mirror Porcelain White, and Midnight Black, while the Pro+ version will offer three colours: Star Sand Blue, Mirror Porcelain White, and Midnight Black.
According to Redmi Brand General Manager Wang Teng Thomas, the Note 14 Pro+ is set to be the most elegant Note ever, featuring curved bezels and a four-curved back design. For the first time, the Note 14 Pro will also adopt a curved screen design, with a two-tone back for the Phantom Blue and Twilight Purple variants.
Xiaomi will also unveil the Redmi Buds 6 TWS earbuds at the event, boasting dual ceramic units, flagship sound quality, 49dB noise reduction, and a total battery life of 42 hours.
