Xiaomi has officially confirmed the launch of its upcoming smartphone in the Redmi Note 14 series in China next week, following multiple rumours. The teaser image reveals a new camera design for the lineup. The Note 14 Pro+ in green showcases a 50MP main camera with OIS and an f/1.6 aperture, along with a 60mm f/2.2 mid-focus lens.

Meanwhile, the other device, likely the Note 14 Pro, features a 50MP AI camera with OIS, though specific details haven't been disclosed. Both phones are expected to forgo a telephoto lens, with the third camera likely serving as either a macro or depth sensor.

Xiaomi has highlighted significant improvements in build quality for the upcoming Redmi series, including enhanced drop resistance and a higher level of waterproofing, suggesting stronger protection across the devices.

Additionally, Xiaomi announced that the Redmi Note 14 Pro series has undergone extensive testing and has been officially selected as the mobile device for China's largest private rescue team, the Blue Sky Rescue Team. This partnership underscores the company's commitment to durability and quality upgrades.

Both phones are expected to feature IP68 water and dust resistance, a notable improvement from the Redmi Note 13 Pro’s IP54 rating. Xiaomi is also promising a rare industry service guarantee for these devices. According to leaks, the phones will maintain a plastic middle frame.

The Redmi Note 14 Pro is rumoured to be powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 SoC, succeeding the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 in the Note 13 Pro. It is also expected to feature a 1.5K dual-curved display and has been spotted in benchmarks with up to 16GB of RAM. Both devices are likely to run Android 14 with Hyper OS on top.
