Xiaomi has officially announced the launch of the Redmi K70 series smartphones, consisting of the Redmi K70, K70 Pro, and K70E, after teasers. The unveiling is scheduled to take place at an event in China on November 29th, coinciding with the celebration of Redmi's 10th anniversary.
Confirmed details include the use of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC to power the Redmi K70 Pro, while the Redmi K70E will introduce the Dimensity 8300-Ultra processor. The K70E is set to feature a 1.5K flat screen with a 12-bit color depth, supporting 1920Hz PWM high-frequency dimming and boasting a peak brightness of 1800nit.
In terms of gaming enhancements, the phone will incorporate a 5000mm² gaming-grade stainless steel VC, the largest ever on a Redmi phone. This design contributes to a 26.6% increase in heat conduction area compared to the previous generation.
The Redmi K70E will house a 5500mAh battery with an impressive 90W fast charging capability. The Redmi K70 is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, and both the K70 and K70 Pro are anticipated to support 120W fast charging. Additionally, the Redmi K70 Pro will feature a metal frame and is rumored to start with a substantial 12GB of RAM.
