Today, Redmi has confirmed that will launch its first gaming flagship smartphone in China by the end of this April. The teaser has been announced at the third birth anniversary of Black Shark. It also said that this phone will be a flagship smartphone with high-end gaming features. It also says that the phone will be the ultimate cost-effective gaming flagship smartphone.
The phone will works on MIUI 12.5 based on Android 11, and some rumors revealed that will feature a Samsung E4 Super AMOLED screen with a 144Hz refresh rate, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner instead of an under-display fingerprint scanner. The phone will run on MediaTek Dimensity 1200 processor and comes with a 5000mAh battery that supports 65W fast charging.
Redmi brand General Manager said that "this phone will be an all-rounder phone ensuring performance, display, and control, and will be the lightest and thinnest hard-core game flagship on the market, and Redmi brand will rewrite history as an industry disruptor and penetrate the bottom line of gaming phone prices."
The company also confirmed a strategic partnership with Call of Duty Mobile Game where they will continue to optimize the game experience for the upcoming smartphone including the Redmi K40 series. The Redmi brand General Manager, Lu Weibing has explained in the post why Redmi has decided to enter the gaming phone market. He also said that in 2021 the gaming e-sports will be Redmi’s next main target, and gaming phones are already in strong demand from Redmi users. That's why Redmi will be introducing the first e-sports flagship later this month.
