Xiaomi has launched its latest budget-friendly 5G smartphone, the Redmi A4 5G in India, positioned as the successor to last year’s Redmi A3, as promised by the company. It features a 6.88-inch HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate and houses a 5MP selfie camera within a notch.
It is the first smartphone to run on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 4s Gen 2 SoC, which supports only 5G SA (Standalone) networks, with no compatibility for 5G NSA (Non-Standalone) networks. The phone includes up to 4GB of RAM, along with an additional 4GB of expandable virtual RAM. It is promised two years of software updates and four years of security patches.
The Redmi A4 5G sports a sleek halo glass back design and features a dual-camera setup with a 50MP main camera. Additional highlights include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, a 5160mAh battery, and 18W fast charging support, with a 33W charger included in the box.
