Xiaomi's Redmi brand has confirmed the launch of its next budget 5G smartphone the Redmi 12 5G along with the Redmi 12 4G model in India on August 1st. It has been reported that the Redmi Note 12R global version will make its debut in India. This model was initially launched in China in June and is now being released globally.
Xiaomi has officially announced that their latest Redmi phone will come with a crystal glass design, up to 8GB of RAM plus an additional 8GB of virtual RAM, and up to 256GB of internal storage. The phone will be available in a Moonstone Silver color with beautiful rainbow hues and will boast the largest display ever seen on a Redmi phone. Additionally, it will pack a powerful 50MP camera and a long-lasting 5000mAh battery.
The phone is anticipated to feature a 6.79-inch FHD+ 90Hz LCD screen with a center punch-hole, a Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 SoC, a 50MP rear camera accompanied by a 2MP secondary camera, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and the ability to support 18W fast charging.
The phone is anticipated to be released in a 6GB + 128GB variant. It will be available for purchase on Amazon India, as well as mi.com and offline stores, after the launch.
