Xiaomi has officially launched its latest mid-range smartphone the Redmi 12 5G and Redmi 12 4G in India, after they Promised. These have a 6.79-inch Full HD+ LCD screen with a 90Hz refresh rate, 8MP front-facing punch-hole camera, and a Side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
The 4G version runs on MediaTek Helio G88 SoC, and the 5G Model has Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 SoC with up to 8GB RAM, up to 256GB UFS 2.2 storage, and are based on Android 13 with MIUI 14, and the company has confirmed 2 years of Android updates and 3 years of security updates.
The 5G model has a 50MP primary rear camera along with a 2MP depth camera, while the 4G model has a 50MP primary rear camera with an 8MP ultra-wide camera and a 2MP macro sensor. Both phones have a Crystal glass back and support IP53 ratings for dust and splash resistance. Both are powered by a 5000mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging.
