Realme has confirmed most of the specifications and the design of its upcoming smartphone the realme GT5, before the China launch next week. The GT5 will showcase a "Flowing Silver Mirror" design, which will impart a liquid metal silver texture. Adjacent to the camera module is a transparent glass panel bearing the text "Snapdragon 8 Gen 2."
The camera section boasts a "micro-suspension penetrating design," seamlessly integrating the rear three cameras with the transparent glass window.
The company has also shared an image of the display, showcasing an ultra-narrow flat screen devoid of bezels, with a frame as slim as 1.46mm. Xu Qi Chase, CMO of realme China, has expressed that the realme GT5 boasts the most aesthetically pleasing flat screen among all phones, and its striking front view is bound to astonish people.
Employing Pro-XDR high dynamic display technology, the phone reproduces light and dark content with remarkable fidelity, leveraging a flagship algorithm that results in a remarkable 8-fold increase in brightness, as stated by the company.
Over the past few days, the company has officially confirmed several key specifications for its upcoming phone, including the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, offering top-tier performance. It will also support up to 24GB of LPDDR5X RAM and offer storage options of up to 1TB using UFS4.0 technology. Additionally, it incorporates the Whirlwind Memory Engine 2.0 and an X7 independent display chip to enable a seamless gaming experience with a refresh rate of up to 144Hz.
Notably, this phone is set to become the world's first commercially available device with 240W fast charging capabilities, a significant achievement according to the company. Furthermore, there's mention of a SuperVOOC S chip and a 150W model boasting a substantial 5240mAh battery. Prior reports have already unveiled a 50MP rear camera equipped with a 1/1.56″ Sony IMX890 sensor.
The pricing details for this phone will be disclosed at its launch event scheduled for August 28th.
