Today, Realme has confirmed that will launch its latest mid-range 5G samrtphone the realme 9i in India on January 18th, which is the successor of last year's realme 8i. The company says that the realme 9i will be the first phone with Snapdragon 680 chipset in the segment, but we had already seen the Vivo Y33T with the same chipset recently launched in the country.
The smartphone was already launched in Vietnam and Thailand earlier this week. It has a 6.6-inch Full HD+ LCD screen with a 90Hz variable refresh rate, a 90.8% screen-to-body ratio, and has a Side-mounted fingerprint sensor. It runs on the latest Snapdragon 680 6nm processor with up to 6GB of RAM + up to 5GB Virtual RAM, 128GB UFS 2.1 storage, and is based on Android 11 with realme UI 2.0, which is upgradable to Android 12 with realme UI 3.0.
It has a triple rear camera setup where a 50-megapixel primary camera along with a 2-megapixel B&W portrait sensor, a 2-megapixel sensor for 4cm macro shots, and on the front side has a 16-megapixel punch-hole front-facing-camera. The phone has dedicated dual SIM and microSD card slots, advanced dual stereo speakers, and is powered by a 5000mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging.
