Realme has launched its latest addition to the realme 12 series the realme 12+ 5G at an event held in Malaysia, preceding its launch in India scheduled for next week. It Features a 6.7-inch FHD+ 120Hz AMOLED display, the phone runs on the Dimensity 7050 SoC, offering specifications akin to the Dimensity 1080. It comes equipped with 12GB of RAM, 256GB of storage, and is based on Android 14 with realme UI 5.
The rear camera setup boasts a 50MP primary camera with the Sony LYT-600 sensor, offering 2x in-sensor zoom, OIS, along with an 8MP ultra-wide lens and a 2MP macro camera. Additionally, there is a 16MP front-facing camera.
The device showcases a luxurious watch-inspired design with a vegan leather back and a metallic strap texture. It also features IP54 dust and water resistance. Incorporating Rainwater Smart Touch technology, it enhances user comfort and touch accuracy during usage.
The phone employs screen data scanning to differentiate between water and touch inputs. When water presence is detected, a series of algorithms prevent unexpected touch actions. In instances where water and touch coincide, the algorithm minimizes the water effect, thereby improving touch input accuracy. This refinement enhances the overall performance and usability of the realme 12+ 5G in various environments. It houses a 5000mAh battery with 67W fast charging capabilities.

The realme 12+ comes in Pioneer Green and Navigator Beige colors and the price is RM1,499 (USD 315 / Rs. 26,090 approx.) for the single 12GB RAM with 256GB storage version. It is already available on sale in Malaysia.
