OPPO has officially announced the launch of the Reno Series in India on May 28. Last month, they released the Oppo Reno Series in China.
Yesterday, OPPO posted an image on social media, which confirms that the Reno Series will launch in India. Both phones in the Reno series are expected to come to India. Where the Oppo Reno comes with mid-range specs and while the Oppo Reno 10x comes with 10X lossless zoom for the premium crowd.
Coming to specifications, the Oppo Reno will run on Android 9.0 Pie OS. It has a 6.4 inches Full HD+ AMOLED display with a pixel density of 403 PPI. It runs on the Snapdragon 710 SoC with up to 8 GB RAM. Oppo has decided to up the Megapixel ante by packing in the 48 MP Sony IMX586 as its primary rear camera along with 5 MP camera for depth sensing. In the front side, it has a pop-up side-lifting 16 MP camera for selfies. There is an in-display fingerprint sensor here as well. Coming to battery, it has a 3765 mAh battery which supports VOOC 3.0 fast charging which can charge 50% battery in 30-40 minutes.
The Oppo Reno 10x zoom will run on has a 6.6 inches Full HD+ AMOLED display with ultra-narrow bezels and 93.1% screen-to-body ratio . It runs on the Snapdragon 855 SoC with up to 8 GB RAM . There is an in-display fingerprint sensor which the company says is 28.5% faster than others.
Now coming to the cameras on the Oppo Reno 10x, it has a 13-megapixel periscope telephoto camera and 8-megapixel 120-degree ultra-wide lens with 15.9mm focal length, which provides wide-angle shots. The telephoto camera offers 159 mm equivalent focal length. It also houses the same side-lifting 16MP front camera.
At present there is no word on pricing on any of the Oppo Reno smartphones. We will know more when they launch in India.
