OPPO has launched its latest smartphone in the K series, the K12 Plus, in China, as previously promised. The K12 Plus shares many similarities in design and specifications with the K12 but has a larger battery. The phone retains its 6.7-inch 120Hz AMOLED display with a 2.37mm ultra-narrow chin and a 93.40% screen-to-body ratio. It runs on the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC with a 4192mm² liquid-cooled VC heat sink with graphite layers, offering a total heat dissipation area of 11,147mm².
It features a diamond shock-absorbing structure and an airbag design to enhance protection for key components. It also includes motherboard reinforcement to minimize damage from falls and an overall shock-absorbing design to handle impacts between the phone and the ground. The phone has received the Swiss SGS five-star certification for drop and fall resistance.
The device has successfully passed rigorous testing, including 300,000 button presses, 20,000 USB insertions, and 7.38 million screen activations, and it remains functional at temperatures as low as -20°C. The K12 Plus has a 50MP main camera featuring a Sony IMX882 sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, and a 16MP front-facing camera.
It is powered by a massive 6,400mAh battery, offering a DOU (Days of Usage) of up to 2.2 days. The company guarantees 4 years of battery health and provides a 4-year battery replacement program. Additionally, it supports 80W SuperVOOC fast charging and 10W wired reverse charging.
