OPPO launched its latest 5G smartphone in the A series, the OPPO A79 5G in India, after the launch of the OPPO A78 in August. It has a 6.72-inch LCD screen with a 90Hz refresh rate, 180Hz touch sampling rate, and a Side-mounted fingerprint sensor. It runs on the Dimensity 6020 SoC, a rebranded Dimensity 700 with 8GB RAM + 8GB of virtual RAM.
The device features a 50MP primary rear camera with a 2MP portrait camera, an 8MP front camera, a polycarbonate frame providing a metallic texture, and IP54 ratings ensuring dust and water resistance. It is powered by a 5000mAh that supports 33W SuperVOOC fast charging, capable of charging up to 51% in just 30 minutes.
