OnePlus has commenced the official teaser campaign for the upcoming release of its latest tablet the OnePlus Pad Go in India, after rumors. They have also officially confirmed that the tablet is set to be launched on October 6th. OnePlus has stated that the Pad Go's objective is to extend the OnePlus ecosystem to a broader audience while maintaining a high standard of user experience and design, without any compromises.
The company further noted that the OnePlus Pad Go will feature the same ergonomic design as the OnePlus Pad. This includes the curved-edge design, the unique green color scheme, and the centrally positioned camera layout. These design elements were selected because of their capacity to accurately capture the user's point of view. OnePlus emphasized that it has consistently maintained these essential design elements to create a cohesive visual identity across the entire Pad series.
According to the company, the rear design of the OnePlus Pad Go skillfully combines two different shades of green. This combination is enhanced by a mix of textures, incorporating both a smooth matte metal surface and a glossy finish.
This tablet will be available in a refreshing "Twin Mint" color variant, adding a unique aesthetic touch to the tablet market. While the company hasn't disclosed many other details, OnePlus COO and President, Kinder Liu, confirmed in an interview with Digital Trends that the tablet will boast a 2.4K display. Additionally, it will come with TÜV Rheinland certification for eye care and support for Dolby Atmos audio. It's worth noting that the previously released OnePlus Pad featured a 2.8K 144Hz screen.
The OnePlus Pad Go will run on Android 13-based Oxygen OS 13 and will receive an update to OxygenOS 14 in the future. It will also feature Content Sync, a feature that allows synchronization of OTP verification messages, cellular data sharing, and rich text messages with OnePlus phones, initially introduced with the OnePlus Pad.
Moreover, the tablet is expected to offer functionalities like copy and paste, notification sharing, and file sharing between devices. Two different models, OPD2304 and OPD2305, have been spotted in BIS certification, hinting at both Wi-Fi and cellular versions. Notably, the original OnePlus Pad was only released in a Wi-Fi model.
Similar to other OnePlus devices, the OnePlus Pad Go will be available for purchase on Amazon India and Flipkart, in addition to the OnePlus India website. It should also be accessible through OnePlus offline stores. Expect OnePlus to unveil more information about the tablet in the coming days as it approaches its official launch next month.
