OnePlus is ready with its own ROM, OxygenOS which will be unveiled on February 12th. If you have been following the news, OnePlus and Cyanogen have had a falling-out over the latter's OS availability in India. The thing is Cyanogen has an exclusive contract with Micromax (Indian smartphone manufacturer), therefore the OnePlus One sold in India doesn't run the CyanogenOS 11. This miffed OnePlus as they were not made aware of the deal.
Nevertheless, after the dust has settled we now hear that the OnePlus One is shipping without Cyanogen branding worldwide. Its a move designed to consolidate the hardware and pave way for the company's own OxygenOS. Although we shouldn't be looking at this as a sign of all-out war between the two companies, but relationships have soured, whatever the case maybe.
OnePlus was quick to point out, to avoid any controversy that "altered the back covers of all OnePlus Ones to feature a cleaner and more unified look across all regions," which makes sense too.
