OnePlus CEO recently confirmed that the company has been working on its first OnePlus Watch, which will finally be introduced in 2021. Now a new rumor has surfaced where the company will be introduced its first fitness band in Q1 2021, and maybe arrive before the smartwatch. The rumored price of the OnePlus Band to be around Rs. 3,000 ($40 approx.).
According to the rumors, the OnePlus band is made the comparison to the Mi Band 5 with features like water resistance, an AMOLED screen, and long battery life. It could be run a proprietary software similar to other fitness bands. We can also expect a heart rate sensor, but it is not clear if it will have SpO2 or blood oxygen monitoring which is present only in a few models yet.
As per earlier rumors, the OnePlus 9 series will be announced sometime in March 2021, but the OnePlus band is expected to launch alongside or a few weeks before that, so it could be by January or early February. The OnePlus Band is expected to launch in India initially as similar to its TVs and expand to other markets later. We should know more details and the exact launch date of the band in the coming weeks.
