OnePlus is working on its next flagship 5G smartphones the OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro. Last month, the CAD images of the phone have surfaced, now the live images of the upcoming OnePlus 9 5G smartphone have leaked online. It reveals a flat punch-hole display similar to the OnePlus 8T, on the backside has two large camera modules with a smaller camera module along with an LED flash. There is an Ultra Shot branding besides the camera, but this is a prototype, so will have a different logo instead of OnePlus.
According to the renders, the phone features a 6.55-inch (1080 x 2400 pixels) Full HD+ 20:9 AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, and the company already confirmed that its next flagship smartphones will be run on the latest Snapdragon 888 5G processor. The prototype comes with 8GB of RAM, 128GB storage and works on OxygenOS 11 based on Android 11, but the company will likely launch a higher version with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. The phone could come with a 48MP primary rear camera along with an ultra-wide camera and a macro sensor and on the front side could have a 16 MP selfie camera.
The phone will be powered by a 4,500mAh battery that supports 65W fast charging in the box, according to the report. The phone features a metal frame body and lacks IP ratings for dust and water resistance. The OnePlus 9 series is expected to be launched in the next year 2021 around March.
