OnePlus 3T, the new mid-cycle refresh to the popular OnePlus 3 has been finally launched in India. The upgraded OnePlus 3T comes with the same 5.5-inch 1080p Optic AMOLED display but replaces the Snapdragon 820 internals with faster 2.35 GHz Snapdragon 821. It still has 6GB RAM, but there's a new 128B storage variant apart from the usual 64GB option, and storage is still not expandable.
The 16MP rear camera with f/2.0 aperture, Sony IMX298 sensor has been retained but it now gets Electronic Image Stabilization as well, along with Phase-detection AutoFocus, OIS and a sapphire crystal lens cover for added protection against scratches. The front camera on the OnePlus 3T has been upgraded to 16MP and it now uses a Samsung 3P8SP sensor with larger 1-micron pixel size. The battery too has increased to 3400 mAh but it still supports the super fast Dash Charging support, which can give you a day's worth of use with just a 30-minute charge.
Coming to design, OnePlus has been able to put in a larger battery, better internals all in the same unibody aluminum shell which measures in at just 7.35mm in thickness. The company is also planning to manufacture the smartphone in India under the Make in India initiative.
