OnePlus has just started rolling out a new OTA update for the OnePlus 2 which is supposed to fix various issues with the device including battery-drain, photo gallery. This update also brings stagefright security patch, alongwith performance tweaks and bug fixes.
The 1.1GB update brings in a new OxygenOS version bumping it up to 2.0.1. Battery-life on the OnePlus 2 has been a bit patchy and with this update we are expecting it to be a bit better.
The official update-log includes:
- Added a patch for the Stagefright security exploit
- Improves battery performance
- Improves user interface logic and coherence
- Fixed an issue with pinch-to-zoom in Google Photos
- Fixed an issue where Dark Mode would cause instability in certain apps
- Fixed an issue related to import/export of contacts stored on SIM card
- Additional support for global carrier APNs
- Other improvements and bug fixes
The OnePlus 2 has been on sale in India since last week on Amazon priced at Rs. 24,999 for the 64GB variant. Coming to specs, there is a 5.5-inch 1080p display here, Snapdragon 810 octa-core processor with 4GB LPDDR4 RAM running Android 5.0 Lollipop. It has a 13MP rear and 5MP front camera on the device with dual-SIM 4G LTE support.
Recently accessories for the OnePlus 2 including StyleSwap covers have also gone on sale on Amazon India.
