OnePlus is preparing to launch its upcoming flagship smartphone, the OnePlus 13, which has now surfaced on Geekbench with model number PJZ110 and is powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 after the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 Qualcomm Reference Design (QRD) device appeared on Geekbench.
The Geekebnch listing shows improved performance compared to Apple's latest A18 Pro chip, introduced with the iPhone 16 Pro earlier this week. The OnePlus 13 achieved a single-core Geekbench score of 3216 and a multi-core score of 10051, outperforming the Qualcomm QRD device’s 2884 single-core and 8840 multi-core scores.
The listing also confirms that the OnePlus 13 will run Android 15 and feature 16GB of RAM. Earlier rumours suggest the phone will also come with a 6000mAh battery.
According to the Geekbench listing, Apple’s A18 chip scores 3409 in single-core and 8492 in multi-core tests, which is an 18% improvement over the A17 Pro chip. However, its multi-core score still falls short of the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 4.
Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 Configuration -
The Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 features 2 prime cores clocked at 4.32GHz and 6 performance cores clocked at 3.53GHz, which is expected to be the final configuration. This marks the first time Qualcomm is using its self-developed Nuvia CPU architecture.
The chipset is equipped with an Adreno 830 GPU and built on TSMC’s 3nm process. Additionally, it supports UWB, NB-NTN, and improved NPU and AI capabilities, powering the next generation of flagship smartphones, all of which are expected to emphasize AI advancements.
According to reports, the Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Pro will be the first phones to feature this chip, likely launching in China shortly after the Snapdragon Tech Summit 2024, which begins on October 21st.
