OnePlus and BOE are collaborating again to launch the X2 (Oriental) Screen, following their previous partnership on the OnePlus 12. According to Louis Jie, head of OnePlus China, the outdoor lighting test for this screen has been successfully completed at the BOE technology exhibition.
In terms of screen quality, last year's OnePlus 12 "Oriental Screen" featuring the BOE X was already a top-tier display. The second-generation BOE X2 'Oriental Screen' is expected to deliver even better performance, positioning it ahead of competitors.
Recently, the phone appeared on Geekbench with a single-core score of 3216 and a multi-core score of 10051, surpassing Apple's A18 Pro chip. Louis Jie highlighted that the new chip generation excels in both game frame rates and energy efficiency.
According to Leaker Digital Chat Station, the screen could measure around 6.82 inches, offer 2K resolution, and feature a quad-curved design with uniform bezels. He also mentioned that upcoming models like the HUAWEI Mate XT, vivo X200 series, OPPO Find X8 series, iQOO 13, realme GT7 Pro, HONOR Magic7 series, and HUAWEI Mate70 series will incorporate BOE screens.
The OnePlus 12 boasted features like 4500 nits peak brightness, a P1 display chip, an 8T LTPO panel, 2160Hz PWM high-frequency dimming, and a pixel density of 510 PPI. The OnePlus 13 is expected to surpass these specifications and could come equipped with a battery exceeding 6000mAh.
