OnePlus has officially disclosed the battery and charging specifications for its upcoming flagship, the OnePlus 12, just ahead of its scheduled launch in China tomorrow. The OnePlus 12 is equipped with a robust 5400mAh battery, supporting rapid charging with 100W SuperVOOC technology and 50W wireless flash charging, in addition to wireless reverse charging functionality. Notably, it can achieve a full charge in an impressive 26 minutes when using wired charging and 55 minutes with wireless charging.
OnePlus asserts an exceptional Design Operating Unit (DOU) battery life of 1.79 days for the OnePlus 12, surpassing the battery life of all Pro flagships. Even after undergoing 1,600 charge and discharge cycles over four years, the battery capacity is claimed to remain at or above 80%. The phone incorporates the SUPERVOOC S battery management chip, boasting an ultra-high discharge efficiency of 99.5%. Additionally, the OnePlus 12 has been confirmed to carry IP65 dustproof and waterproof ratings, a feature absent in its predecessor, the OnePlus 11.
Other notable features of the OnePlus 12 include support for USB 3.2 Gen1 for faster data transfers, multi-function NFC, Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos, super-linear stereo dual speakers, and AAC's Bionic Vibration Motor Turbo. The latter adapts and connects across various applications and games, with the ability to adjust vibration effects for 72 categories and over 700 systems in the system.
Furthermore, the phone introduces exclusive self-developed "holographic audio" technology, projecting up to 12 audio source channels in different directions for simultaneous playback, ensuring clear and distinguishable audio. The Super Signal Project aims to provide comprehensive coverage for Wi-Fi, cellular data, weak network games, and near-field communication core scenarios.
As a reminder, the OnePlus 12 is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, features up to 24GB of LPDDR5X RAM, up to 1TB UFS 4.0 storage, a Sony LYT-808 flagship sensor, and boasts the world's first 2K BOE X1 screen with a peak brightness of 4500 nits.
