Motorola had earlier announced the list of devices getting Android Nougat update, and the G4 series was at the top of the list. Some users are reporting that they have started getting the OTA update to Android 7.0 Nougat update for their Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus devices in India. Just to be clear this is not a soak test, it's the final update.
Apart from the Nougat underpinnings, you will also get a new Moto Action, you can now shrink the screen with just a swipe for better single handed use.
There are a lot of new features in store including native multi-window support, better notifications, and a more improved Doze mode for better battery life. Sadly, the newly launched Moto E3 Power won't be getting updated to Nougat nor will be the less-than-2-year-old Moto G3.
