Nubia is preparing to launch its upcoming flagship smartphone the Nubia Z50S Pro in China on July 20. Now, the ZTE brand unveiled the design of their latest phone, along with the disclosure of essential specifications such as the chipset, screen resolution, and battery capacity.
The Z50S Pro is expected to feature an upgraded main camera with a custom design, boasting a 35 mm equivalent focal length and a 1"-type sensor. It is likely to be an evolved version of the 35 mm camera found in the previous Nubia Z50 Ultra model released earlier this year.
The Z50S Pro stands out as a distinct device when compared to the standard Z50 and the powerful Z50 Ultra, as shown in all the renders. While it will be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, it will not feature certain characteristics found in the other two flagship models, such as curved sides or an under-display camera.
Official teasers have also provided some details, including the inclusion of 80W fast charging for the 5,100 mAh battery. The phone will sport a 6.78" screen with a "1.5K resolution," equivalent to 1220p, and the panel will offer a 100% DCI-P3 color gamut.
The standout feature of the Nubia Z50S Pro is undoubtedly its new 35 mm camera. This camera will boast a 1G+6P lens configuration, consisting of a seven-piece aperture comprising one glass and six plastic elements. While details regarding the sensor remain undisclosed, the company has confirmed that the aperture's physical opening will measure 5.21 mm diagonally, proudly claiming it to be the largest in the industry.
We should know more details and the exact price of the phone when it goes officially launched on July 20th.
