China's Telecommunication Equipment Certification Center has given the green light to the Nokia XL, meaning it could be launched there any day now. Given that China was one of the first markets to get the Nokia X, this is hardly a surprise and Nokia has been pretty keen on its Android powered handsets in terms of promotion and developer outreach.
The Nokia XL is quite similar to the Nokia X in terms of core hardware using the same processor and chipset, but comes with a large 5-inch display, 5 megapixel rear camera as well as a 2 megapixel front-facing camera alongwith 768 MB of RAM.
We reviewed the Nokia X recently and found it to be a good compromise in this segment. It definitely has excellent build quality and a good display, but the camera is just okay. You can watch our review of the Nokia X in the embedded video below.
