Nokia Lumia Icon Launch

A dummy model of the Nokia Lumia Icon or Lumia 929 showed up at a Fry's retail shop in San Marcos lending credibility to earlier leaks stating that the phone will launch on either February 5th or March 5th. The Lumia icon is a top of the shelf Windows Phone and competes with the best of Android smartphones when it comes to specs. It would be a Verizon specific offering for now.

The Nokia Lumia Icon runs on a quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor with 2 GB RAM, 5-inch 1080p display and 32 GB internal storage with a 20 MP PureView camera at the back. Essentially its the Lumia 1520 shrunk down with a 5-inch display instead of six. Verizon is expected to price the Lumia Icon at about $199.99 on a 2-year contract.
