The Nokia Lumia 525 has been announced for India a the company's annual summit in Goa. The Lumia 525 is the successor the most popular Windows Phone, Lumia 520 and primarily just differs in the amount of RAM. The Lumia 525 has 1GB RAM while the 520 had 512MB RAM. Apart from that the Lumia 525 features the same 4-inch WVGA IPS display with super-sensitive touch for usage with gloves on, 1GHz dual-core processor, 5MP camera running Windows Phone 8 OS.

If priced right the Lumia 525 can carry forward the baton from the 520, but it seems that's not the case. Nokia says that the new affordable Lumia handset will arrive in India sometime in early January. At the same event the company also officially launched the Lumia 1320 for India and it too will be available sometime in mid January 2014.
