Asus has launched a new variant of the Zenfone Max in India running on the Snapdragon 615 octa-core processor with 32GB storage and Android 6.0 Marshmallow onboard.
The new Zenfone Max gets an upgraded Snapdragon 615 SoC, more storage, Android Marshmallow and still has that massive 5000 mAh battery but no fast charging. The rest of the specs remain the same including the 5.5-inch 720p HD IPS display with Gorilla Glass protection, 2GB RAM, 32GB expandable storage and 13MP/5MP cameras.

You still get laser-assisted auto-focus for the rear camera which can shoot at 1080p along with a noise-cancellation Mic. The 5000 mAh battery on the Zenfone Max is still non-removable and you have three slots, two micro-SIM slots and a separate micro-SD card slot to expand storage.
It comes in black color with a golden trim and the volume rocker/power button are on the right. The company also announced Sonakshi Sinha as their India brand ambassador.
Pricing and Availability
The Zenfone Max with Snapdragon 615 has been priced at Rs. 9999 and will come in black, white, orange and blue colors on Flipkart. You can also get a 3GB RAM variant of the Zenfone Max with same specs, just upgraded memory for Rs. 12,999. The original Zenfone Max with Snapdragon 410 has got a price-cut to Rs. 8999.
