Motorola has launched its latest foldable smartphones, the Razr 50 and Razr 50 Ultra in China after a series of teasers. The Razr 50 Ultra features a large 6.9-inch FHD+ internal foldable LTPO pOLED screen with a 1-165Hz refresh rate. It also boasts a significant upgrade with a 4-inch FHD+ outer pOLED screen, offering a 1-165Hz LTPO refresh rate and a 95% screen-to-body ratio, compared to the previous 3.6-inch 144Hz screen.
It runs on the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC, an improvement over the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ SoC in its predecessor along with 12GB LPDDR5X RAM, up to 512GB UFS 4.0 storage, and is based on Android 14. It includes a 50MP main camera, a 50MP 2x telephoto camera, a 32MP front camera, and a 4000mAh battery with 45W wired fast charging and 15W wireless fast charging.
The Razr 50 features a large 6.9-inch FHD+ internal foldable pOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 3.6-inch FHD+ outer pOLED screen with a 90Hz refresh rate. It is the first phone runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 7300X SoC, an upgrade from the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 in the predecessor along with 12GB LPDDR4X RAM, up to 512GB UFS 2.2 storage, and is based on Android 14.
The Razr 50 is powered by a 4200mAh battery that supports 30W wired fast charging, and 15W wireless fast charging. The Razr 50 series utilizes the fifth-generation star track hinge, which is smaller and lighter, featuring an integrated die-cast design with a larger R angle and a smaller crease. The phones are built with a 6000 Series Aviation-grade Aluminum frame and have an IPX8 rating for water resistance.
