Lenovo has already launched the Moto Z and Moto Z Force smartphones in the US, but we have been hearing about a third variant ever since launch. The Moto Z Play, is already on pre-order in China and is expected to go on sale starting September 6th.
According to the report, the Moto Z Play runs on Snapdragon 625 octa-core processor, 3GB RAM, 64GB onboard storage which is expandable with a microSD card slot. You get a 16MP rear camera here with phase-detection autofocus, 5MP front-facing camera. The Play series has been about large battery life, and you get a bigger 3510 mAh battery here, that slightly bigger than even the Moto Z Force. Moreover, according to previous leaks the backpanel of the Moto Z Play will be made of glass instead of metal.
You get a 5.5-inch AMOLED display too on the Moto Z Play but it keep to the more standard 1080p resolution. Again, its compatible with all Moto Mods including the InstaShare projector, JBL Speaker, and the various battery, Style cases.
Coming to pricing, the Moto Z Play is going for about 3299 Yuan ($495 or Rs. 33000) and the Moto Z at 3999 Yuan ($599 or Rs. 40200). This was all we could gather from the report. Both the Moto Z and Moto Z Play are expected to launch in India too later in September and the pricing should be similar to what we have in China.
