After seeing a lot of leaks on the Moto G4, its now the turn of its bigger brother, the Moto X4 (2016). It follows in a similar design to the Moto G4 but is expected to come with a metal build and a glass front.
You can also see a fingerprint sensor in the front which looks awkwardly placed alongwith some IR sensors in the front which we have seen in the previous-gen Motorola Moto X smartphones for activating active display. The camera hump at the back seems pretty substantial and houses the dual-LED flash just below it. The speaker is expected to be at the bottom and a Verizon branded leak also shows the Moto X 2016 clad is a custom Moto Maker design.
Coming back to the camera, you can see some sensors on the camera module at the back which may point to a laser autofocus sensor. In the front you also have a selfie flash while at the back you also see 16 gold dots which may be a connection for some accessory that Motorola is planning to announce with Moto X 2016. Rumors also point to a USB Type-C port on the Moto X4, but we still don't have a clear look at the bottom of the device.
If you see the date on the screen of the Moto X 2016 in the leaked render, it says August 24, which is being speculated as the launch date for now. Last time Motorola launched both the Moto X and Moto G on the same date, but it seems the Moto X4 is going to be a bit late this year. At present neither the specs nor design of the phone is confirmed, but this leak does give us a perspective into the future of Moto smartphones designed by Lenovo.
