Motorola has confirmed the launch of its next budget g series phone the Motorola moto g14 in India on August 1st, after the teaser. It has also revealed the specifications and design of the phone. The phone will feature a 6.5-inch FHD+ screen, accompanied by Stereo speakers and Dolby Atmos, enhancing the audio-visual experience. It will run on a Unisoc T616 processor compared to MediaTek Helio G85 SoC in the g13, but it is still a 4G phone along with 4GB RAM, 128GB UFS 2.2 storage, dedicated dual SIM, and a microSD slot.
The phone is slated to operate on Android 13, with the company's assurance of an upgrade to Android 14 as well as providing 3 years of security updates. As for the camera setup, it will feature a 50MP rear camera, complemented by a macro camera and night vision support. Powering the device is a 5000mAh battery that supports 20W fast charging. Additionally, the phone boasts IP52 ratings, rendering it resistant to dust and splashes, and it also incorporates a convenient side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
