Microsoft has just launched the upgraded Surface Book i7 packing more powerful internals with better battery life.
The new Surface Book is powered by Intel's top of the line Core-i7 processor. This coupled with a powerful GPU, Microsoft claims twice the graphics performance of the previous-gen Surface Book and thrice that of the MacBook Pro.
The 13.5-inch 2-in-1 has all new thermals to keep it working cooler with the addition of a second fan and hyperbaric cooling. With newer internals, battery life has also seen a significant jump by about 30 percent and according to Microsoft, the Surface Book i7 can last up to 16 hours on a single charge. Just like the previous Surface Book, you can detach the display portion which works like a tablet with support for the Surface Pen.
The new laptop will be going on pre-order today starting at $2399 and ship in November. The previous-gen Surface Book will remain in stores along with the Surface Pro tablets which haven't seen an upgrade yet.
