Okay, so the details aren't confirmed but Micromax might be prepping to launch a waterproof and dustproof phone in India dubbed the Micromax Splash. The twitter user MMXNewsCaster leaked the above image but says that the news is unconfirmed. You can see at the bottom of the backcover, it says IP67 certified. IP stands for Ingress Protection, and IP67 is the same level of protection found on Sony Xperia Z and other similar waterproof Sony smartphones launched recently.
Although there is no word on specs, you can see that the phone has a 5 MP camera with LED flash. It would be interesting to see what specs the Micromax Splash will have alongwith the price at which it would be introduced. Being waterproof and dustproof is certainly a premium feature and it would be great if Micromax could introduce it in the mid-range segment.
