Micromax shipped over 2 Million smartphones while Karbonn is gaining a foothold with its A and Titanium series as well, they come at second and third place in terms of smartphone shipments after Samsung.

Although the global smartphone market has become stagnant, India is seeing an explosion in smartphone sales, which have not overtaken those of featurephones. Smartphone shipments in Q3 2013 have nearly tripled year on year at 9.3 million up from 3.5 million in Q2 last year.
