Micromax Canvas Spark 4G has just been listed online on Snapdeal, featuring 4G VoLTE support and a 5-inch display running on Android Marshmallow. The Spark line-up of budget Android smartphones has done great for the company with the original Spark being one of the highest selling phones for the company when it was launched.
The Canvas Spark 4G Q4201 plans to fill in the same shoes, albeit with pretty mediocre specifications. It has a 5-inch FWVGA (854x480 Pixels) display up front which is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass. It runs on a 1.3GHz quad-core Spreadtrum processor which could be the 9830A we saw on the Galaxy J2 2016. Here it is coupled with 1GB RAM, 8GB of storage which is expandable with a separate microSD card slot. For the price of Rs. 4999, I wouldn't complain much but there are still better options from Xiaomi and even rival Intex available at the similar price point.
Coming to the build of the device, the back cover is made of metal and it is removable giving you access to the dual-SIM slots of the device and the microSD card slot to expand the paltry storage. The 2000 mAh battery is also user replaceable, unlike some other Canvas Spark smartphones promising 18 hours of talk time and 300 hours of standby.
Al this is kept neat and tidy in a chunky 10.6mm plastic body weighing in at 165 grams.
