Micromax just unveiled the Canvas LapTab at CES 2014. The convertible LapTab is a dual-boot device running Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and Windows 8.1. In terms of specifications, it won't make heads turn with its measly 1.46 GHz Intel Celeron N2805 processor with 2GB RAM and 32 GB internal storage. There's a 10.1-inch display with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels. There's a 7400 mAh non-removable battery which powers the dual-tablet.
The Canvas LapTab (don't laugh!) comes with a detachable Bluetooth keyboard, one USB 3.0 port and 2 USB 2.0 ports. Bluetooth 4.0 and WiFi grace the connectivity department. The 32 GB internal storage is expandable using micro SD card, since its a Windows tablet you can directly plug-in your flash drives as well as external hard-drives. In terms of camera there's only one 2 MP front-facing unit.
Rahul Sharma, Co-founder Micromax, while talking to PTI said that the Canvas LapTab will be launched in India under $500 and the company expects to sell about 100,000 of these here.
