The Canvas 2 Colours A120 features a 5-inch HD display with a 1.3 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6582 chipset and Mali 400 MP2 GPU with 1 GB RAM. We have already seen this chipset in action with the Canvas 2.2 A114, XOLO Q1010i and the XOLO Q2500 where it performed brilliantly at gaming. So why should the Canvas 2 Colours be left out. Here is our Gaming Review.
Gaming Review
Apps and app-data are movable to the SD card on the Micromax Canvas 2 Colours making it perfect for gamers, in addition to the 5-inch HD IPS display which has excellent viewing angles and near perfect color reproduction.
We played several high-end games including Asphalt 8, MC4, NFS: Most Wanted, NOVA 3, GTA, Real Racing 3, Dead Trigger 2, FIFA 14, Frontline Commando: D-day and several others. The Canvas 2 Colours performed brilliantly in all games we threw at it without any lag or framerate issues. The phone does get a bit warm while playing games, but never crosses the threshold of being called hot.
Conclusion
Micromax has launched an excellent device at sub Rs. 10000 price point, especially for gaming with excellent all-round performance. The display performs brilliantly with accurate color reproduction, good viewing angles with excellent touch response making gameplay fun. There is no lag in even high-end games and graphics look smooth.
